Abstract

Eligibility criteria for Poster Competition

• All abstracts submitted must be in English.
• Once an abstract is selected, at least one of the authors of the poster MUST register for the conference. Payment for conference registration should reach the Conference Secretariat by 30th May 2024.
• Participants may submit more than ONE abstract.
• The MDES Scientific Committee will review and reserve the right to decide on the acceptance of abstracts.
• The abstract must be ORIGINAL and have NOT BEEN PUBLISHED/PRESENTED at any international or national conference.

Abstract Format

• Abstract must not be more than 250 words.
• It must not have images, graphs and tables.
• Use numerals to represent numbers except when beginning a sentence.
• All abbreviations must be spelled out on first use.
• Abstract title must be in capital letters. Title should be brief and clearly indicate the content of the abstract.
• Only abstracts that conform to the given guidelines will be accepted.

Abstract should include:

• Title
• Introduction
• Methodology
• Results
• Discussion / Conclusion

Abstract Submission Guidelines

• All abstracts must be submitted to the MDES 2024 Conference Secretariat via the Conference website. Click on the 'Submit Abstract' button to create an account and submit the abstract. 
• Abstracts must be submitted by 30th April 2024. Late submissions or incomplete abstracts will not be accepted.
• Upon submission, abstract applicants will receive a notification of receipt from the Conference Secretariat by email. If you do not receive any acknowledgement reply, please contact the Conference Secretariat via email at secretariat@mdesconference2024.com
• Please ensure you check your data carefully before submitting as changes or additions will not be accepted after 30th April 2024. Please contact the MDES 2024 Conference Secretariat if any edits are required to the submitted abstract(s).
• The Conference Secretariat will notify participants regarding the results of their submission by 6th May 2024.

Abstract Review & Awards

• All abstracts will be reviewed by the MDES Scientific Committee.
• There will be awards for the 3 best posters. Cash prizes and certificates will be given to the winners.
  • 1st Prize : RM 1,000
  • 2nd Prize : RM 750
  • 3rd Prize : RM 500
• Successful poster presenters will be notified by the Conference Secretariat and informed of the judging process, time to put up the posters during the conference and all relevant details.
• Judges’ decisions are final. No appeal will be entertained.
