Dr Rokiah Ismail University Malaya Medical Centre

Dr Rokiah received her Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1994. Later, in 2010, she completed her Master of Medical Sciences in Paediatric Nutrition from the University of Malaya. In 2015, she earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health Nutrition from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom. Dr. Rokiah has been serving as a Clinical Dietitian at University Malaya Medical Centre since 1994, for 29 years, and she currently heads the Dietetics Services at UMMC. Her research interests are focused on eating disorders among children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes and obesity in pediatric populations. She has conducted several research projects in this area of study. Dr. Rokiah is well-known for her expertise in the field and is frequently invited to speak at conferences, seminars, and workshops related to type 1 diabetes and obesity management among pediatric patients. Besides her clinical services, she is also active on social media and provides her expertise to the community.
